Stylish and heartfelt couple from Beijing wed at Salibury Cathedral

Shaun and Amaris love story brought them from Beijing to Salisbury Cathedral in the UK. It was Amaris dream to get a marriage blessing at this stunning and iconic venue, just the two of them. Their vision for the film would be “fashionable, modern, and chic, capturing the elegance of the cathedral and the deep emotions of our special”.

It was wonderful to have the space and time to be creative with them both, crafting an emotive yet stylish film. I felt truly honourn to have been a part of their intimate ceremony.

Torre Bassano Italy wedding, emotional groom speech, chic Italian bride

Annalisa and Marc originally planned a big wedding in London but decided to change plans to Italy instead! Bride Anni and her family are Italian and it was their dream to be get married in Anni’s native country. So after a legal ceremony in London, they went full steam ahead with their destination wedding.

From our initial video call and subsequent emails and messages, we hit if off straight away and I was inspired and in awe of their bond and love. Their love is deep rooted in friendship, shared values and strong family bonds. I knew their wedding would reflect their easy going, fun and kind nature.

They hosted their friends and family at the beautiful Villa Carafa De Cillis and the wedding celebrations at Torre Bassano on the coast. Despite the hot sun and strong winds during the ceremony, it was a truly heartfelt and emotional ceremony. Led by celebrant Valentina, who did a wonderful job at translating the ceremony and sharing Anni and Marc’s story. The readings from the couple’s mum and bride’s uncle was tearful and beautiful.

The celebrations continued with a delicious seven course dinner and speeches outdoors as the sunset. Dolce Vita Orchestra brought the high energy music and party vibes, with everyone dancing the night away.

Thank you so much Anni and Marc for having me!

Elegant Grove House Roehampton wedding, Korean bride

Seojin and Jeremy first met as colleagues in London and formed a friendship. It wasn't until two years later, they bumped into each other in New York and their friendship blossomed into romance. Jeremy planned the proposal at Blue Hill in Stone Barn, a beautiful restaurant outside of New York. After Seojin said yes and they were officially engaged, Jeremy had organised a surprise for Seojin by having their friends there to celebrant together.

Although living stateside, they planned their wedding with the help of Illy Elizabeth wedding planner. It was a joy to see all their friends and family come from the US and South Korea to celebrate their wedding, with a church service in South London followed by the reception at Grove House in Roehampton. It was an elegant and luxurious wedding with Seojin looking chic in her Newhite gown. She wowed her guests with a second dress in the evening in a gorgeous sparkly dress.

There were beautiful pastel florals decorated all through the venue, a string quartet during cocktail hour and Korean inspired gift bags for all their guests.

The day was filled with music and heartfelt speeches, including video messages from Seojin’s family in South Korea. The bride and groom even sang a song together during their speeches, much to their guests delight!

Chic London surprise wedding, Chelsea Old Town Hall

When Kay first got in touch and told me she and her fiance Charlie were planning a surprise wedding in Chelsea London, I was so excited to capture their special day and their guests reactions on the announcement! The couple had invited their family and closest friends to their engagement party at The Phene restaurant in Chelsea, all the while the couple were actually secretly getting married down the road at Chelsea Old Town Hall!

Myself and photographer Lynn was there with the couple to capture them with their families pre ceremony. I then arrived at The Phene where Kay’s best friend Kendra annouced to their guests the suprise. It was so fun to capture their joy and reactions! We all then made the short walk to the town hall to wait for the newly weds to come out to congratulate them and throw confetti. Kay had organised an addtional surprise for Charlie, by organising music by Joey Clarkson who sang “love is all we need” on the steps of the town hall. It truly was a special and intimate moment to capture and witness.

The couple and their guests continued the celebrations back at The Phene with speeches and the couple’s first dance. It was wonderful to see Kay's family join them from Canada and also their cute dog Boris join in the celebrations. The couple looked super chic and I'm obsessed with Kay's elegant Eva Lendral dress.

Their surprise wedding is a great reminder to follow your own rules when planning your day, to have fun and celebrate your wedding - your way.
